On December 1, "Power machines" hosted a working meeting of Deputy Minister of Energy Pavel Snikkars and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mikhail Ivanov with company executives and top managers of power generation companies.

The discussion was attended by executives of PJSC Inter RAO, PJSC RusHydro, PJSC Tatenergo, JSC SO UPS, as well as representatives of industry associations "NP Market Council" and "Council of Energy Producers".

During the visit, the delegation toured the production facilities of "Power machines", where the prototype of the innovative gas turbine GTE-170 assembled on the test bench is in the final stage and will be completed by the end of 2022. The planned date for completion of a prototype gas turbine of the GTE-65 type is 2024.

Gas turbines of the GTE-170 type will be delivered to Tatneft's Nizhnekamsk TPP in late 2023, four more gas turbines will be delivered to Inter RAO's Kashirskaya SDPP in 2024-2025, and four more will be delivered to RusHydro's Far East facilities in 2025-2026.

The participants of the meeting acquainted themselves with the progress in the construction of the production area for the coating of turbine blades and the complex of cast billets for gas turbine blades. The new facilities will make it possible to accelerate the serial production of gas turbines and the supply of spare parts for imported gas turbines in operation.

During the meeting, representatives of the fuel and power industries pointed out the key role of the project of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and "Power machines" in ensuring the country's technological sovereignty by fully mastering the production of this type of equipment and eliminating dependence on imported services.

The project to restart gas turbine production in Russia is being implemented by "Power machines" with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, which has provided a government grant of 4.8 billion rubles for the period from 2019 to 2022. Its successful implementation will ensure the technological independence of the Russian Federation through the full development of domestic production of this type of equipment, including hot path components and control systems based on domestic components, and will eliminate dependence on import services.

"Power machines" is building the capacity to produce eight gas turbines per year. The company intends to reach these volumes in 2025. In the future, it will possible to increase production capacity to 12 turbines per year, and the company also intends to supply power generation companies with spare parts for turbines made by foreign manufacturers.
