On April 26, LENPOLIGRAFMASH Industrial Park hosted a signing ceremony for an agreement on establishing the "Engineering" educational and industrial cluster as part of the "Professionalitet" federal project. The document was signed by the heads of JSC Power Machines, St. Petersburg Committee for Education, Electrical Engineering College and other cluster residents. The project is aimed at launching pilot educational programs that will reduce the vocational training period from four to two years and focus on developing applied skills for students that are in demand in industries.

"St. Petersburg is a leading region that participates in the "Professionalitet" federal project. This Project is meant to rethink how industries and educational institutions interact and make the most of this interaction. It will allow for high-quality vocational training in accordance with industry needs," Kirill Soloveichik, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg, is quoted as saying.

Power Machines, together with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, will develop educational programs for the Electrical Engineering College and other colleges of the cluster. The programs will include class-room modules and job training ones – in retooled and modernized workshops.

Power Machines are interested in training qualified specialists who could understand the company's specifics as early as upon graduation from college. We are ready to employ graduates of the "Professionalitet" project and take a full part in the cluster's activities. What is important to stress is that even upon accepting them for employment, we will provide them with all the opportunities for further training, development and building their careers in the company," Elena Solovyova, HR Director of JSC Power Machines, said.

Earlier, Power Machines took part in the Single Open Day dedicated to the launch of the "Professionalitet" federal project. 100+ secondary school students visited the sites of the "Engineering" educational and industrial cluster – specialized colleges and technical schools, and then the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and the Electrosila Plant.

The federal operator of the "Professionalitet" project is the Institute for Development of Vocational Education. Training under the new program will start on September 1.
