Yury
vertical lathe operator of the LMZ Rotor Shop
I have been working at the plants that are owned by Power Machines for half a century! I began my career at Electrosila, then moved to LMZ. I learned the profession right at the production site, going from an assistant to the sixth category specialist.
The work of a turner is similar to the work of a sculptor: You take a piece of metal and make the desired product out of it. There is a certain amount of creativity here, and this kept me from losing interest in the profession for so many years.
I can give advice to young professionals — choose an occupation you like and never stop learning, then everything will work out!
